GET TRAINED, SAVE LIVES
CPR SESSION
ERC AND UEFA COLLABORATION
Description of the session
GOAL sessions are organised and offered as part of the UEFA “Get trained, save lives” awareness campaign for circulatory arrest in collaboration with the ERC.
A GOAL session is a short, compact training session in which basic CPR skills are demonstrated along with hands-on practice by the participants. Its goal is to increase awareness in the importance of CPR training, get participants excited about CPR training, and remove barriers to starting CPR.
Following this session, participants will
- Understand the need for CPR
- Recognise a victim in cardiac arrest
- Be able to perform chest compressions
- Be able to provide rescue breathing
- Know about the function of an AED
Who can apply for the session
It was created primarily for football players, but it can be attended by athletes, coaches, referees and officials of all sports, as well as laypeople.
Duration
According to the official program, the duration is 45 minutes, however, if there is availability from the participants, it may last a little longer.
Certificate of attendance
Participants will receive a CPR certificate from UEFA and ERC.
Participating in the session and obtaining its certificate of attendance do not replace certified training in Basic Life Support (BLS).
