FIRST AID

 

Program Description

The aim of this Program is to inform on the immediate and proper management of situations that can endanger human life, such as:

  • Bleeding
  • Limb injuries
  • Head and spinal injuries
  • Burns and scalds
  • Electrocution
  • Lightning strike
  • Allergic reactions
  • Poisoning
  • Stings and bites
  • Epileptic seizures
  • Heart attack
  • Stroke
  • Cardiac arrest, Fainting, Choking (there are no practical skill stations for these 3 subjects as they are part of the BLS/ERC Course)
  • First Aid Kit
  • Emergency Action Plan

Slides and videos that analyze thoroughly all the topics and answer any questions that will arise are used. Training where is necessary.

Who can apply for the course

The course is addressed to ALL those who want to be informed on the latest First Aid guidelines.

Duration

6 hours

Material

Each participant receives the book of Nikolaos Gkourtsas, entitled “First Aid through the eyes of the expert” (500 pages, 2024 edition).

The book includes all the latest First Aid Guidelines and it is being taught in several universities in Greece, such as the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, the Department of Nursing and Midwifery and Pedagogical Departments.

Also, they receive block and pen for notes and their personal name tag.

Certification

The certification of the European College of Sports and Exercise Physicians – ECOSEP, which is recognized in all European countries, is awarded to all successful participants. The certification is valid for 2 years.
