ΒLS/AED PROVIDER COURSE
Description of the program:
The program includes training in the management of cardiac arrest. What actions will we take when we find ourselves in front of a person who has collapsed and is not breathing.
It includes lectures using powerpoint, demonstrations from instructors as well as practical training of participants (divided into small groups of up to 8 people) on special manikins where they are trained in the application of compressions and rescue breathing.
Participants are also trained on the use of the Automatic External Defibrillator, the device that delivers a shock to the heart to restart it. This is done with special training defibrillators which, of course, do not deliver real current, but they operate just like the real ones.
Finally, participants learn how to place an unconscious person who is breathing in the recovery position as well as how to cope with a person who is choking (when a piece of food clogs the airway).
